After an energy draining intensive "Four Days Rapha Emotional Health Training Course" with fruitful results, experiencing healing and witnessing life transformation, I found my refuge and place of recuperation at the ICC Heng Yang New Community Home. I spent an entire morning with a full house of disabled kids enjoying their simple but rich life full of joy and fun.
We began the day by musical dancing imitating actions of daily chore - brushing teeth, combing hair, washing face and putting on clothes.....etc. This is a wonderful kind of music therapy influencing the disabled children to work with fun despite of their disability. They can and they should manage to be self-independent in doing all the daily chores by themselves not seeing them as a burden but challenges with lot of fun.
After half an hour work out, we sat down to revisit album of our 2010 Walk on the Great Wall followed by viewing my album stored on my computer. Then we watched another Musical Drama by the Heavenly Melody of Taiwan. The kids then worked together to cook lunch as the Nanny had taken a rest for the morning after the energy draining Rapha course. The Manager of that community group home took over to lead and teach the boy group to cook for themselves.

Whirlwind finishing of the rich banquet of life |
We had a very very delicious lunch with all the food consumed and cleaned up. What impressed me is their spirit of independence despite of their disabilities. One boy dropped his bowl of rice on his own wheel chair. He cleaned up the mess he created. After the meal, a very small boy was rostered to do the dish washing. He executed his duty with high professionalism despite he had to stand on his wheel chair to be tall enough to reach for the washing basin.
