The Fragrance of Jasmine is getting stronger

Ai Weiwei艾未未, the world famous Chinese artist held by the authorities for almost three months earlier this year, has defied the one year gag order just roughly 2 months after his release to attack injustice in China in a passionate article fuelled by his own experiences of detention. The ariticle entitled “City : Beijing” was published on the website of the Newsweek Magazine on 28/8/2011 as attached below.

He accused officials of "deny[ing] us basic rights" and compared migrant workers to slaves, describing Beijing as "a city of violence" and "a constant nightmare".

His remarks are certain to anger Chinese security officials. They come days after it emerged that China is reportedly planning to give police legal powers to hold some suspects for up to six months without telling their families. Campaigners say the move would legitimise and potentially increase the number of secret detentions.

Suddenly, I realize that despite Na Li李娜 forfeited her chance to speak up for the June 4th tragical event bestowed to her when she was crowned the French Open Champion, God as promised in the Bible Esther 以斯帖記4:14 has continuously risen up many others to keep the Jasmine movement for freedom of speech alive. He made the nameless hero like Miss Yang楊and Mr Yin殷 to grasp hold of the opportunity being drawn to speak first and second in a rally against suppression of freedom of press at HKU. Now, He empowers Ai who supposingly should remain silence to voice out his dismay against the judcial system that is untrustworthy in protecting people’s basic rights under the law.

God really is the Lord of history and the sovereign King of all. He works in mysterious way that through the planting of seeds for democracy, He brings awakening to people hearts to fight for their right despite of oppression and persecution like what Ai is doing. For some regimes, like the Jasmine revolution in the Arab world, they are overthrown. Will this happen in China, I don’t know. But I would imagine a disastrous consequence disrrupting the peace and order of not only China but the world at large will take place if an Arab world alike revolution really erupts in China.

Basically, China situation is different from the Arab totalitarian regimes. She has a strong socio-economic infra-structure that keeps her economy strong and proud amongst all the other countries suffering in recessions. The international affairs political influences in a non-aggressive manner have earned China many international supports especially in the third world countries. There are so many aspects that make the Chinese people be proud of their mother land.

The problem or weakness of China is on the general essence of people’s life. The cultural revolution has destroyed the core values system of the Chinese people. Big spirituality vacuum has since been created. It is unhealthily replaced by pursuance of materialism and selfishness. Every one is trying to cling on to power to gain best self benefit especially under the banner of Tang’s鄧少平policy of let some people get rich first. Disparity of wealth has never been so great that, social injustice is a norm in mega cities likes Beijing.

The way out for China is through a re-engineeering of the values system of all people from rank and file to elite management level officials. What we need is like another Great Awakening that swept Protestant Europe and British America and especially the American colonies in the 1730s and 1740s, leaving a permanent impact on American religion and her foundation of upholding freedom and democracy . With the Jasmine seeds planted and more and more people like Yang, Yin and Ai to speak out, the hearts and minds of the ordinary people first then the people in power will be open up and come to sense of the real need of agape love for nurturing mutual respect and trust amongst the rulers and those being ruled.

I have steadfast faith in the ultimate transformation of the materialistic China into an utopian state. Because China is predicted as the great power in the East at the end times. The blossoming of the Jasmine flowers in China will not be too far away. I can smell the fragrance of the flowers getting stronger day by day, because of changed hearts of increasing number of people like Yang, Yin and Ai. They dare to cry out for freedom out of their love of the country and the compatriots who are still lost and suffering in the nightmare of those Big Cities of Violence.

For us who are overseas where free speech is permissible, we do need to treasure and grasp hold of these opportunities to make our individual tiny voice known. It will definitely be heard and will trigger the awakening of China souls to restore our mother land back into the Kingdom of God without the need of a blood shedding revolution. May God’s Will be done in China.

Ai Weiwei finds China’s capital is a prison where people go mad.

Beijing is two cities. One is of power and of money. People don’t care who their neighbors are; they don’t trust you. The other city is one of desperation. I see people on public buses, and I see their eyes, and I see they hold no hope. They can’t even imagine that they’ll be able to buy a house. They come from very poor villages where they’ve never seen electricity or toilet paper.

Every year millions come to Beijing to build its bridges, roads, and houses. Each year they build a Beijing equal to the size of the city in 1949. They are Beijing’s slaves. They squat in illegal structures, which Beijing destroys as it keeps expanding. Who owns houses? Those who belong to the government, the coal bosses, the heads of big enterprises. They come to Beijing to give gifts—and the restaurants and karaoke parlors and saunas are very rich as a result.
Beijing tells foreigners that they can understand the city, that we have the same sort of buildings: the Bird’s Nest, the CCTV tower. Officials who wear a suit and tie like you say we are the same and we can do business. But they deny us basic rights. You will see migrants’ schools closed. You will see hospitals where they give patients stitches—and when they find the patients don’t have any money, they pull the stitches out. It’s a city of violence.

The worst thing about Beijing is that you can never trust the judicial system. Without trust, you cannot identify anything; it’s like a sandstorm. You don’t see yourself as part of the city—there are no places that you relate to, that you love to go. No corner, no area touched by a certain kind of light. You have no memory of any material, texture, shape. Everything is constantly changing, according to somebody else’s will, somebody else’s power.
To properly design Beijing, you’d have to let the city have space for different interests, so that people can coexist, so that there is a full body to society. A city is a place that can offer maximum freedom. Otherwise it’s incomplete.
I feel sorry to say I have no favorite place in Beijing. I have no intention of going anywhere in the city. The places are so simple. You don’t want to look at a person walking past because you know exactly what’s on his mind. No curiosity. And no one will even argue with you.
None of my art represents Beijing. The Bird’s Nest—I never think about it. After the Olympics, the common folks don’t talk about it because the Olympics did not bring joy to the people.
There are positives to Beijing. People still give birth to babies. There are a few nice parks. Last week I walked in one, and a few people came up to me and gave me a thumbs up or patted me on the shoulder. Why do they have to do that in such a secretive way? No one is willing to speak out. What are they waiting for? They always tell me, “Weiwei, leave the nation, please.” Or “Live longer and watch them die.” Either leave, or be patient and watch how they die. I really don’t know what I’m going to do.
My ordeal made me understand that on this fabric, there are many hidden spots where they put people without identity. With no name, just a number. They don’t care where you go, what crime you committed. They see you or they don’t see you, it doesn’t make the slightest difference. There are thousands of spots like that. Only your family is crying out that you’re missing. But you can’t get answers from the street communities or officials, or even at the highest levels, the court or the police or the head of the nation. My wife has been writing these kinds of petitions every day, making phone calls to the police station every day. Where is my husband? Just tell me where my husband is. There is no paper, no information.
The strongest character of those spaces is that they’re completely cut off from your memory or anything you’re familiar with. You’re in total isolation. And you don’t know how long you’re going to be there, but you truly believe they can do anything to you. There’s no way to even question it. You’re not protected by anything. Why am I here? Your mind is very uncertain of time. You become like mad. It’s very hard for anyone. Even for people who have strong beliefs.
This city is not about other people or buildings or streets but about your mental structure. If we remember what Kafka writes about his Castle, we get a sense of it. Cities really are mental conditions. Beijing is a nightmare. A constant nightmare.
【明報專訊】內地維權藝術家艾未未自6月末「取保候審」後首度在媒體公開撰文,最新一期美國《新聞周刊》刊登艾用英文撰寫的文章。他指北京是「暴力之城」,一面是權力與金錢、一面是絕望。他指北京貧富懸殊,買得起房的都是官員和大老闆,而北京最糟糕的就是司法系統不可信,有很多秘密地點拘押人,失蹤後家人求助無門,他並表達自己對未來的迷茫。艾未未昨對本報說,文章是隨性而寫,談的都是他對所生活城市的觀感,沒考慮後果,但仍不願接受媒體專訪。

「我看見巴士上的人們,我看見他們的眼睛,我知道他們沒有任何希望。」艾未未在文中寫道,每年有數百萬人到北京參與橋樑、公路、城市建設,他們是北京的奴隸,蝸居在違章建築中,還要不斷面臨強拆命運,而買得起房子的,都是些達官顯貴。
艾未未說,北京常對外國人說,「我們是一樣的」,意思是「我們可以做生意」,但卻不讓這城市的人們享有基本權利,比如農民工子弟學校會被迫關閉,醫生會因病人無錢醫治而冷漠拔掉針頭,「這是一座暴力之城。」
作為一個曾被監禁、並且有條件釋放的人,艾未未說,這城市不論是鄰居、陌生人還是官員、法庭,無人值得信任,而在北京最糟糕的便是你永遠無法相信這裏的司法系統,它容不下不同利益、階層,「你不是這個城市的一員,你看不見自己—沒有什麼地方是和你有關的,沒有什麼地方是你想去的,沒有任何角落、地方能被一絲光亮照耀。」
有許多幽暗隱蔽處關押人
他亦婉轉提及自己被監禁的日子,稱這段經歷讓他明白,這城市有許多幽暗隱蔽之處,默默關押很多人,對外卻無聲無息,「只有你的家人會哭喊着你怎麼不見了,但你在社區或是官方得不到任何回答。」他稱太太路青在那80多天內幾乎每天都在請願、給公安打電話,問丈夫在哪裏,但卻無人回應。
艾未未說,在那些秘密的地點,他陷入了完全的孤立,並不確定要在那裏待多久,想質疑卻毫無辦法,他不受任何東西保護。「你的腦海中充滿着對時間的不確定,你會開始變得像瘋了一樣,這對任何人來說,都是非常艱難的,即便是有很強信念意志力的人。」
但艾未未也表達了他對北京的欣慰之處,比如他上周在公園散步,很多人走過來拍拍他的肩膀或是豎起大拇指表達支持,「他們為什麼要用這樣一種隱秘的方式來表達?沒有人願意講出來。他們在等待着什麼?」艾未未說,總有人勸他,「離開中國吧,要麼耐心點、看他們如何滅亡」,曾明確表示不會離開中國的他此刻卻陷入迷茫,「我真的不知道我將要做什麼。」
文章有感而發 婉拒專訪
艾未未文中通篇充滿感性,他婉拒本報電話採訪,稱本不愛寫文章,這篇是有感而發,就隨意寫了出來,並未考慮會有什麼後果,文章刊出後官方也未聯繫他。「我想沒那麼敏感吧,我在這個城市住了這麼多年,我談一下感受,我覺得很正常的。」路透社指文章顯示,艾未未已對釋放以後的嚴格限制愈來愈失去耐心。

茉莉花香正漫--民主中國的希望

娜姊在法網奪后冠,被問及六四22週年的感想,一反過往百無禁忌的受訪發言風格,對六四事件不予置評,平白錯失了良性鼓舞國人為民主理想追求至善美的契機。

當年猶太女子以斯帖貴為波斯皇后之後,面對讒臣哈曼遊說波斯王對猶太人作種族屠殺的生死存亡的關口,接受叔父末底改的挑戰,冒死進宮勸諫。神藉末底改給以斯帖的話,是千古猶新的至理明言,請看聖經以斯帖記4章14節﹕「此時你若閉口不言,猶大人必從別處得解脫,蒙拯救;你和你父家必致滅亡。焉知你得了王后的位分不是為現今的機會嗎?」

娜姊在六四22週年同日得后冠,是一個不尋常的結果。她在法網前都仍陷低潮狀態,戰績低迷,法網後萬眾期望在溫布頓再封后,但自此又恢復平庸,戰績每況愈下,快開鑼的美國公開賽,當可看她仍否有封后的機會?以實力而言,她以29歲網界「高齡」,是不被看好的,再封后真的要神賜她另一神蹟。

娜姊拒絕以中國首位大滿貫網后身份,為六四民主精神注入振奮激素,去keep the camp fire burning!我在大為惋惜之餘,寫了「失諸交臂」一文,但我心中默念,按神的話語和心意「此時你若閉口不言,中國(猶大)人必從別處得解脫,蒙拯救」神必興起他人,在關鍵時刻,將個人榮辱安危置於道外,讓人看到,為自由民主發聲表態,是義不容辭的神聖決擇。

果然,港大百年慶典,被神創做了另一歷史契機,讓兩位藉藉無名的內地交換生,在千人聲討集會中,先後以首次名被抽中發言,請看以下的新聞報導,便可隱見那無形的手,締造了這新聞價值頗高的頭條新聞。楊菁是無心插柳,殷同學是有意栽花,但是都機緣巧合地成為甚觸目的第一及第二位發言者。

他們都不約而同地把握和珍惜此發言表態机會,意義不單在對港大百年慶典的言論自由黑夜表達意見,他們都突顯了中港兩地的自由民主土壤雖然仍有質的差別,但民主茉莉花的種苗,都已遍播神州大地,只待靈風起捲的時刻,自由民主的茉莉花便會綻放,這是神在萬事互相效力的諸般巧合中,在黎明將屆的最黑暗時刻,向我們展示的一線民主中國長存希望的曙光!

「守護中國最後自由地」 高呼「平反六四」港大內地女生﹕

【明報專訊】香港大學圖書館外平台前晚舉辦了千人大集會,捍衛校園及本土的自由。當日首先站在眾人面前、發表感言觸動全場人心的內地女學生楊菁,從未想過在來港短短4天便參與了人生首個抗爭集會、在自由空氣中高喊「平反六四」。昨天,她接受本報訪問時直言,沒有後悔站出來發聲,「說的只是大家想說的話,我們必須守着中國最後自由之地,不能讓她比大陸更倒退」。

在剛過去的星期五,一群港大校友和學生舉行「抗議港大818殺害自由集會」,不滿港大在副總理李克強到訪港大期間的警方保安過嚴,扼殺大學自主與自由。來港升讀港大新聞及傳播系的碩士生楊菁,當日原不知道校內會舉辦如此「大型的活動」,「我在學校吃完晚飯,經過中山廣場,見到校內滿佈師生,大家在抗議、在集會,我並沒想到場面如此震撼」。

楊菁﹕內地只有慶祝才有集會

楊菁原在北京科技大學修讀經濟學,也在北京工作了數年,身在內地頂尖城市,她說只有慶祝活動才有集會,「從來沒有人能為抗爭而集結」,「當時就是震撼,然後聽到徐立之校長說話,說到港大有自由開放的文化,自己就特別想發聲」。
楊菁續說,沒有想到當時一寫下名字,就立即被抽中了,成為第一個發聲的內地生,她強忍着淚水,說出對言論自由、對高呼「平反六四」的盼望。

央視播港大師生「熱烈迎李克強」

從小已特別有好奇心的楊菁,讀中學時已聽過教師「比較隱晦」地說過八九民運,她和同學特意上互聯網了解更多,有關六四的短片都會互相分享;近年新興的微博更是內地人散播信息的最佳平台,「雖然不少敏感字句一上載就會被刪,但是它們愈刪、愈想禁制,大家就會更想看,更要看」。

她舉例,內地中央電視台把李克強到訪港大說成「師生熱烈歡迎」,蓋過示威的部分,但在微博上,總會有人偷偷把集會的相片、七一遊行的相片放上去,她就從那裏更了解香港。

「港人堅守 中國才能進步」

楊菁微笑道,大家對她前晚願意站出來發聲的反應太大,內地不少人其實與她一樣,「只是有些人會將願望說出口,有些人會在心裏堅持理想」。楊菁說,即使內地現時不能開放言論空間,但她認為只要港人能夠堅守,中國日後才能夠進步,「因為民族是連在一起的」。

殷同學﹕力量雖小 不會放棄

機緣巧合地,前日在台上緊接楊菁發聲的,同樣是內地來港讀新聞系的碩士生。身穿「平反六四」T恤的殷同學,在台上提醒港大師生,要反思「沒有限制的好」。他比楊菁早一年來到香港,參加過六四晚會,也有以筆名在報章發表批評文章,前晚是有意識地參與集會,「因為被警方推倒的港大生李成康,是我認識的朋友,他是一個溫和、堅守信念的人,我很想支持他」。
殷同學知道自己力量渺小,然而,他稱這不會阻礙他堅持宣揚自由,「力量當然渺小,即使是著名的中山大學教授袁偉時,發個微博說了兩句,『中央政府應從事情汲取教訓,懂得尊重香港獨特的價值』,也即時被刪除,但我們不會放棄」。

高調發聲 「風險自己承擔」

曾在內地當過財經記者的殷同學表示,看到內地的民主未有進步,就更希望香港人珍惜自己擁有的平台,「如果說了那些話會有風險,我自己承擔」,「反正在內地也曾因為發聲被國安約談過」。對於「高調」發聲,他也作了較壞的打算,「會先去台灣修個博士學位,到時才想未來吧!」

初到香港的楊菁,與即將離開香港的殷同學,前晚在港大集會中首次相遇,縱使二人參與集會原因各異,然而對於香港,二人都有不謀而合的願望,就是「港人必須堅守這個中國最後自由之地」。

世上有幾種愛?

人是感情動物、對愛還會陌生嗎?中國人在愛的表達上比較含蓄,但倫常之愛還算熟稔得很,父母子女、夫妻、兄弟、親友之間的愛, 是中國人大家庭制度的黏合劑。但一位中國教授余虹於2007年回應美國波士頓校園槍殺案寫了一篇文「有一種愛我們還很陌生」。他十分驚訝美國有基督信仰的人,在悼念活動中竟然不單為32位死難者,連兇手也一起悼念, 在守夜儀式上點了33根蠟燭,為33個生命祈禱。這一種倫常之愛以外,將被害者和兇手都同等看待的包容性的愛,對兇手不恨反愛。這是一種什麼樣的愛?是否僅是中國人陌生的愛?我在逍遙博上也寫了不少以愛為主線的貼文,那是甚麼樣的愛?其實,歸根到底,這世上總共有幾種愛呢?

先看看余虹教授對中國人熟悉的愛,有何看法:『一般來說,世俗之愛主要有兩種形式:
1、以親疏敵我區分為基礎的愛;2、以善惡是非區分為基礎的愛。

第一種愛是最原始本能的愛,是本能的自我之愛或自愛,它的基礎是利害關係,即對我有利者愛,對我無利者不愛,對我有害者恨;…… 由於血緣關係是最原始本能的利害關係,所以血緣上的親疏遠近決定了愛的等差或愛與不愛,而當親疏關係惡化為敵我關係時,等差之愛便轉換成了恨與愛的對立。通常的自私自利、狹隘的愛國主義、民族主義、地方主義中深藏的就是這種愛,而所謂階級鬥爭中也活躍著這種愛。在這種愛的背後可能潛藏著對他國、他族、他鄉、他人、別的階級的疏離、冷漠、甚至仇恨。這種愛是我們最熟悉的愛,也是我們習以為常而在無意識中踐行的愛。

第二種愛是文明程度很高的愛,它的根據是社會正義和道德善惡,即對義者愛,對不義者不愛,對大不義者恨;對善者愛,對小惡者不愛,對大惡者恨。這種愛也是我們所熟悉的,在為受害者悲傷而怨恨兇手的悲傷經驗中,我們看到的是這種愛,在狹隘的道德主義情感和律法主義情感中我們看到的也是這種愛』

看!這確是一十分透徹的省思;但這僅是中國人所熟悉的兩種愛嗎?這豈不是普世人,不分種族語言、文化的人類所共同認受的人間愛嗎?也誠如他所說是世人都熟稔的「世俗之愛」。

事實上,余虹教授感詫異驚訝的愛仇敵的愛,在聖經裏早有闡釋,這是有別於人間世俗的愛,乃出於神的聖潔的愛。在希臘文中有四個字表達不同的愛:那就是agape、phileo、storge 和 eros;前三者在聖經中有應用而出現,eros即英文的erotic, 卻沒有。 希臘人將eros作專有名詞時,便意指為愛慾的神,它代表純肉慾的性愛,僅官能上的快感,全非建立在關係上,故此在一本以「關係」為中心命題的聖經,便沒有eros的存在空間了。

余虹教授所認為陌生的愛,便是希臘文用以描寫神聖的愛agape,是神的最基本的屬性,可見於聖經許多經文中,例如約翰一書 4章8節裏「沒有愛心(ἀγαπῶν= agape)的,就不認識神,因為神就是愛(ἀγάπη = agape) 」。這神聖的愛是源於本性,出於心志,而非基於感受,故是非條件性的,縱不被愛、尊重、接納,仍以行動來表達這份無私的愛及無條件的寬恕和接納。這種愛在敗壞了的人類的生命中是不存在的,但有神生命的人,受聖靈感動和支配生命的真信徒,便都能展示這種俗世間沒有的愛,那份從32延伸至對33個失喪生命的包容的愛,所以非僅是中國人陌生和不解的愛,乃普世沒有神生命的人所不明白的愛。真愛也真是不易為,更難被明白,例如懲治罪犯以保社會之治安是一種真愛的表達;更具体的例,是慈母舉報吸毒兒,不易為也不好受,但卻是真愛的行動体現。

相對於神聖的愛,聖經中用phileo(φιλῶ) 來表達人際間友朋的情誼,也就是世人所熟悉和能實踐的倫常之愛,是基於關係所衍生的情誼;但關係一變壞,愛意便情難載也情不再了。可以這樣說:你能愛 (agape 或love) 你的敵人,但你卻不能喜歡(phileo或 like)他。拙文「愛的控訴」亦引申自這種大愛,我可以控訴恨惡當權者不仁不義的所為,但這無礙於我仍尊重接受他們作為人也作為掌權在位者的事實,以定意的愛去包容,去進言相諫,至死不渝。

神聖的愛agape 和人世間朋友情誼phileo之區分,用聖經約翰福音21章15-17節來說明,是最好不過的了。很不幸,不論用英文或中文的翻譯,都不能表達原意;但引用希臘原文,便叫我們恍然大悟。經文的背景,是彼得在耶穌被捕前曾誇下海口,永不背棄衪;豈料耶穌真成階下囚時,彼得便如耶穌所預料,三次不認主,害怕受牽連。耶穌復活後,彼得的愧疚感難消,但神定意要使用彼得,作十二門徒之首,承擔福音廣傳的使命,所以耶穌刻意在復活後,昇天前,召集眾門徒,特別跟彼得有以下的對話,以舒解彼得的心結。

15 他們吃完了早飯,耶穌對西門彼得說:約翰兒子西門,你愛(agape= ἀγαπᾷς)我比這些更深麼?彼得說:主阿,是的,你知道我愛(phileo= φιλῶ)你。耶穌對他說:你餵養我的小羊。
16 耶穌第二次又對他說:約翰的兒子西門,你愛(agape=ἀγαπᾷς)我麼?彼得說:主阿,是的,你知道我愛(phileo=φιλῶ)你。耶穌說:你牧養我的羊。
17 第三次對他說:約翰的兒子西門﹐你愛(phileo=Φιλεῖς)我麼?彼得因為耶穌第三次對他說你愛(phileo=Φιλεῖς)我麼,就憂愁,對耶穌說:主阿,你是無所不知的;你知道我愛(phileo= φιλῶ)你。耶穌說:你餵養我的羊。

為何對話中出現不同的愛的詞彙呢?為何耶穌先用agape而彼得只用phileo? 耶穌其實在問彼得他曾否以神的愛去愛衪?願意為衪作出犧牲?畢竟,耶穌剛為世人,包括彼得和你我,嘗透了折磨以至於死在十字架上。這本非衪所想喝的苦杯,但因著神agape愛的屬性,衪還是甘願承受這極大的苦楚,為世人贖罪而死。相對地,彼得為逃避折磨而不認耶穌,為求自保。 耶穌為要釋放撤除彼得三次不認衪的罪疚感,用三個你愛我嗎的問題,給彼得三次機會,反省人愛縱有限,只能達phileo朋友之愛的層次,但卻得耶穌以神的愛來對他肯定。耶穌甚至体諒彼得的軟弱,未能用神的愛去為主作犧牲,在第三次發問時,放下身段,用較低層次的phileo愛,以表示認同彼得在愛的功課上之軟弱,叫他不必再悔疚,既往不究而努力眼前耶穌給他的托付。

第四個有關愛的希臘文是 storge,是指父母子女間的親情,也涵蓋了兄弟妹妹及夫妻間的愛。這用詞在新約聖經羅馬書12章10節,以philostorgos 一字出現:「愛(philostorgos)弟兄,要彼此親熱;恭敬人,要彼此推讓。As to your brotherly love, let there be deep friendship and family-affection toward one another.」所以余虹教授口中,所謂中國人熟悉的愛,其實便都涵蓋在philostorage這種愛裏面,也是耶穌願意俯就認同的;但更要緊的,衪希望世人都能經歷和活出這本屬神的超然的agape愛。衪給人的愛的大誡命(馬太福音22:37-40),正表達了這期許:

「37 耶穌對他說:你要盡心、盡性、盡意愛(agape=Ἀγαπήσεις)主 你的神。38 這是誡命中的第一,且是最大的。39 其次也相倣,就是要愛(agape=Ἀγαπήσεις)人如己。40 這兩條誡命是律法和先知一切道理的總綱。」

律法和先知其實就是舊約聖經的統稱,所以聖經講述的信仰,便是透過基督的救贖,與神的愛的生命重新結連,活出真愛生命的真理。

余虹教授藉著有基督屬神生命的人對兇手這加害者的哀悼、包容、寬恕,窺見了這種他感陌生但卻萬分響往渴慕的agape愛,可惜他錯用人的方法,妄圖通過哲理、人的思維去掌握得著這份愛,經過五個月的內心交戰而無所得,竟於同年12月5日,選擇用跳樓自殺來結束他以為是沒有出路、真愛難尋的人生,委實叫人握腕歎息。

讓我套用張守東的「一個基督徒看余虹之死」來對這agape愛的重要性作總語﹕

『余虹教授走了。帶走了一顆不肯向惡低頭的良心,留下了一具可供人們憑弔的遺體,更在他的一篇博客裡留下一個永恆的疑問:“什麼時候那陌生的愛才會進入我們的靈魂?(那是一種來自基督啟示並在長期的信仰實踐中培育起來的神聖之愛。)”可惜,他自己在沒有為自己找到答案之前就走了。帶走了對惡的抗爭,留下了對神聖之愛的依戀。

當年,耶穌把上帝之愛和真理之光帶到這個世界上的時候,人們只關心醫治自己身體的疾病,而不願聆聽和遵行他的教導。有一次,又有人把被鬼附的人帶到他面前尋求醫治,耶穌不由感慨,“ 這又不信又悖謬的世代阿,我在你們這裡要到幾時呢。我忍耐你們要到幾時呢。”此後又過了兩千年,耶穌還是在以忍耐待人,儘管這個時代還是那樣“又不信又悖謬”。而且他已經悖謬到了哪怕稍有一點良心都無法生存的地步。余虹教授以他的死證明了這個時代的邪惡。但他的死也讓我們重新面對耶穌的問題:“我忍耐你們要到幾時呢”。

余虹教授的死讓我更加堅信人不能僅靠自己的良心生活。良心只能印證世道的邪惡,卻不能提供足以勝過邪惡的神聖之愛。唯有上帝才能以愛勝惡。當然,我以一個人的良心向余虹表示敬意,因為,至少,他拒絕因為自己是“國家重點學科文藝學學科帶頭人”而彌滅良心。他勇敢表達自己對於邪惡的體察和抗議,甚至不惜放棄生命。他也以自己對惡的抗議表明自己心中的愛:愛是不喜歡不義,只喜歡真理。在這邪惡悖謬的時代看不到惡的人,不會有真正的愛,更不可能是真的基督徒,因為,愛,意味著對惡的警醒和拒絕。一個看不見惡,更不敢與惡抗爭的人,不可能有愛。比起那些和惡眉來眼去的掛名基督徒,余虹是一個更令人肅然起敬的不信者。』

期許普世眾生,都能藉著那賜生命的永生神,在有生之年,重新得著及活出神賜給人的三種愛,就是那 agape, phileo 和storge的全面天人合一的愛。

從高鐵幹線到高崖棧道--看社會主義中國的建設特式

“多快好省” 是中共建設社會主義經濟的總路線。其解釋是:數量多,速度快,質量好,成本省。最早出處見於1958年毛澤東《在擴大的中央工作會議上的講話》:通過了 “鼓足乾勁,力爭上游,多快好省地建設社會主義”

“多快好省” 的總路線脫離了當時的生產實際,造成了急於求成和盲目冒進。宣傳工作重在“多”和“快”上,輕視了“好”和“省”,客觀上推動了“大躍進”盲動行為。在製定社會主義總路線的時候,“快”字壓倒一切成了總路線的核心環節,這和中共八大確立的經濟路線實際上是背離的,“大躍進”“人民公社化”和總路線一起被稱為“ 三面紅旗 ”,使新中國初期的社會主義建設遭受嚴重挫折。

2002年十六大以來以胡錦濤為核心的新一代中央領導集體,在全面分析中國國情和總結發展歷史與現實,借鑒別國經驗提出了科學發展觀,強調實現國民經濟又好又快的發展,並且強調好字當頭穩步前進的方針,這是強調發展的速度的同時更加注重發展的質量。

可惜,毛澤東時代的 “多快好省” 的陰魂不散,國家建設各領域上都出現了歷史上的偏差。高鐵的發展是其中的表表者,開發建造的里數,工程的進度之快,車速提速之高令人咋舌,但安全和質控上卻毫不著重。七月一日,為了「向建黨九十週年獻禮」,京滬高鐵通車。通車之後卻事故不斷、一個月內發生了最少八次停電或壞車意外,多班列車延誤,乘客紛紛抱怨。溫總代表中央,淳淳忠告要安全至上,言猶在耳便發生溫州動車追尾重災難。

“多快好省”變成,多事故, 快搶修,省救援,好通車;以鐵道部的業績為重,視乘客生命為草芥, 在大量失蹤乘客生死未卜之際(動車組共6節車厢滿員600人,掉到30米高架橋底下。橋下已知活著的爲210多人,而新華社報的死亡者爲40人。本來600-210-40=350人。這350人去哪了?)便急於與40已知死難家屬議價賠償,企圖快刀斬亂麻、由最初極低價17萬元,至後來經中央干預後,調高至91.5萬。整個事件,徹底暴露了毛澤東時代以多快為重的總路線上的錯誤!

尚好在中國其他建設當中,也有叫人欣賞讚歎的!我在外國人流傳的網誌中,看到有一則有關湖南石佛Shifou高崖棧道的建造,其難度叫外國人瞠目結舌,擊節讚賞。其題目為The Chinese amaze me with their diligence, hard work and ingenuity (中國人的勤勞刻苦及足智多謀的創意叫我大為驚訝) 。相對於高鐵的建造,它是一低科技,高人力,鬼釜神功之作,充份反映出中國人的匠心。在垂直的峭壁上作業,憑堅毅以寸進的速度鑿洞支搭棚架,以安全為考量,在山崖上插造負重的石屎柱,在其上完成這9843呎的棧道,成為世上最長之高崖觀光徑。它雖位居險塞,但相信它給人放心使用的安全感,會勝過高鐵萬倍。


網友童大煥說:「中國,請停下你飛奔的腳步,等一等你的人民,等一等你的靈魂,等一等你的道德,等一等你的良知!不要讓列車脫軌,不要讓橋樑坍塌,不要讓道路成陷阱,不要讓房屋成危樓。慢點走,讓每一個生命都有自由和尊嚴,每一個人都不被『時代』拋下,每一個人都順利平安地抵達終點。」

他的嘆喟,一針見血地將社會主義中國建設特式的致命傷點出,功利掛帥,漠視生命的尊嚴和寶貴,生命的價值完全可被物化,被黨國社會的利益凌駕! 為了盡快恢復通車,置350條人命的救援於不顧。人命一條17万夠不夠? 像街市買菜的議價,那就大手筆一點91.5萬賠給你把整個事故擺平了吧。

2007年5月一位中國教授余虹到美國波士頓作訪問學者,回應一校園槍殺案寫了一篇文「有一種愛我們還很陌生」。他十分驚訝美國有基督信仰的人,在悼念活動中竟然不單為32位死難者,連兇手也一起悼念, 在守夜儀式上點了33根蠟燭,為33個生命祈禱。余虹說﹔「悲傷的經驗起於愛,我們因愛被害者而悲傷,當悲傷將兇手包含在其中時,愛同樣給予了兇手。我們所驚訝並陌生的就是這種愛:對兇手何以不恨而愛?這是一種什麼樣的愛?」

為受害者悲傷也為凶手悲傷,它的信念是一切生命都有同樣的價值,或者說生命的價值高於一般的善惡敵我區分的價值。“33”這個數字就是這種愛的見證。這種只有愛而沒有恨的生命質素,是一種來自基督啟示並在長期的信仰實踐中培育起來的神聖之愛。

耶穌一生的講道與踐行都在向人們啟示這種無條件、無分別、化恨為愛的愛。這種愛經過兩千多年的基督信仰傳播,已成為西方文明中最有價值的一部分,並鑄造了一種相當普遍的信念和實踐態度,於是才有了“33”那個令人們驚訝的數字。

在中國,因著溫州特警支隊隊長邵曳戎一人敢於抗命,項煒伊的兩歲小姑娘僥幸獲救;但因著更多人順服於視人命為草芥的鐵道部管治系統下,3岁男孩小金长时间困在高温车厢里未被发现及時搜救而窒息死亡,加入其他那350個人間蒸發者的行列。

溫家寶總理帶病親臨溫州追尾列車事故現場,並幾乎全面善意回應了媒體與網民們對事故的追問和答應徹查後,中共宣傳部門突然下重手實行媒體與網絡封鎖,讓外界大惑不解,認為宣傳部門太不給溫家寶面子。博訊剛剛受到來自宣傳部內部一位幹部的消息稱,對溫州動車追尾事故的封殺,根本不是宣傳部門決定的,而是來自於政治局最高層。

什麼時候那陌生的愛才會進入那些漠視生命的泱泱大國管治者和絕大多數盲從的順民的靈魂?叫一切生靈, 不再被塗炭而被珍惜尊重呢?!

The Story of David Gotts – Founder of the International China Concern -- A White English with a China Heart

Originally from the UK, David became a Christian at the age of 16 years old. After becoming a Christian and being involved in his local church, he sensed God calling him into a full time ministry position. David left the UK in 1990 to join Youth With A Mission Discipleship Training in Hong Kong. It was during this time that God called him to minister to the people of China.

So, at the age of 19 David Gotts gave up his job as a junior banker in England, donned his back pack, and travelled to China with a fairly ambiguous aim – to help those in need. And he did. A visit to an orphanage in Nanning南寧 with a friend enabled him to see first hand the conditions in which many disabled and abandoned babies and children lived. What shocked him was an euthanasia安樂死room where sicked babies were left to die without any treatment. They do not worth it as according to the social value of Chinese over born disabled children which are being abandoned by their parents in large proportion. This surreal personal experience torn open the heart of David to have mercy on the most helpless marginalized people group in China.

David questioned God – ‘Is this the way it should be? Who will come and make a difference?’ God challenged him. ‘David, I’ve shown this to you. You can make a difference.’

Many of us would have simply been disturbed and frustrated, but David chose to do something about what he’d seen. He had no skills or training but chose to make a difference, in his own small way, to the lives of these children. He first went to Taiwan to study Mandarin for two years. Then, he toured around the world to share his vision and seek for partners and co-workers. In 1993 David established International China Concern國際關心中國慈惠協會(ICC). His vision - to establish and model great care for the disabled and abandoned. ICC began with teams of volunteers that traveled to China for a few weeks to simply love and care for those in need.

David was amazed at the speed at which others ’caught the vision’. Offers of help came from across the world. He remembers with pride how a group of Australian’s offered their time free of charge to renovate the first children’s home.

ICC went on to establish two joint venture care centres in Changsha長沙 and Hengyang衡陽 in Hunan Province湖南省 and established training programmes for Chinese social welfare employees across the nation. An agreement between Hunan Provincial government and ICC has opened the door to train hundreds to care for and rehabilitate children with disabilities. ICC has also recently entered into a joint venture with the government of Henan Province河南省 to expand the work into the city of Sanmenxia. 三門峽

In China, there is a move to work in partnership with organisations such as ICC to improve the conditions in which the abandoned live. Permission was granted in 2004 to develop community based residential care or group homes. ICC plans to establish many more in the future, and will also offer support services to families with special needs children and young adults.

As a supporter of ICC for six consecutive years, I did have first hand experience visiting the orphanages and other community projects in Changsha and Hengyang three times in 2010. I could spot the great difference between the ICC run and Chinese Government run orphanages. It is no exageration to say the contrast is as if it was heaven versus hell. There are laughter noises of fun activities in ICC but dead silence in the Government run section. Some other simple examples such as , babies under ICC’s care have a carer ratio of 1 to 5 while the Government run section is 1 to 20 or more. Babies wear disposable diaper in ICC’s care but wear make shift diaper in shred clothes wrapped up with plastic shopping bag or nothing in the Government’s care.

In 2007, ICC started the first annual fund raising walkathon. The idea is to have at least 600 persons each walking 10km then the collective distance walked being 6000km will cover the length of the Great Wall. In Chinese saying, it symbolizes the spirit of collaboration on a common cause. So since 2007, every year, more or less on the same day in September, people of all races in several cities in Canada, America, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, England, Netherland and Belgium will walk for the love to make a difference for the life of those disabled abandoned children giving them love, hope and opportunity to lead a dignified new life in the society.

Last year, three members from Christ’s Family Church of Action Love team joined the second Walk On the Wall team to visit the Changsha and Hengyang projects before walking on the Great Wall on the 25th September, 2010. The team of 16 was composed of representatives from Australia, Canada, England and together with two orphans Yang Heng Bing,Yang Xian Xin and their Australian carer. We had developed such a good rapport with the two kids that we ended up becoming one of their long terms supporting families.

As an Australian Chinese, I do feel the burden to appeal and mobilize for more supports from our Chinese ethnic community groups. Currently, the professional groups serving on a faith mission basis are in great majority westerners though more Asian Chinese are picking up to fill the gap. I do pray and hope that this year, more Chinese appearance can be seen in the Walk the Wall event scheduled on the 10th of September. The walking route is as shown in the map below.
It can easily be a great day of fun for the CU Alunmi. We can walk with the CU banner along the Brisbane river to show solidarity in support of the meaningful cause for compatriot Chinese children. A BBQ will be served at the end of the walk as a token of appreciation of this international joint efforts. This multcultural participation will also boost the image of Chinese University Alumni as a social care and concern group not living any more in our own ivory tower. Please register as a member of the CU QLD Alumni Team in order to get insurance coverage for the walk.

真抱歉又是這樣晚的回覆你之前的郵件!因為七月的十五號我們將去西安進行為期兩個星期的培訓和活動,所以從上個月的底就開始操辦所有的事情,開會、買火車票、找住處等等。而我恰巧在八月份中旬的時候又同時負責另一個大學生營會,而他們同樣也把很多開會學習的時間放在了七月。所以我真正是暈頭轉向了,而近日的這一兩天身體不適,於是終於能夠暫時停下來,也終於有機會可以回信給你,這也算得是幸事吧。

I am sorry to hear about your mother’s passing away. May His Spirit bring you and your family comfort in such difficult times, and turn it into blessings. May you find pleasures in our Lord who is faithful and will carry us all home.May we find courage in the assurances of our Lord to press on until one day soon we will all be caught up together in the air.

我承認,您母親的事情再次讓我在家人信主這個問題上焦急起來,不僅僅是家中的老人,還有父親,母親靈命的成長,我的外公外婆在我很小的時候就是佛教徒,那時我并不覺得什麽,但從我的靈命開始長進以來,越發的覺得外公外婆的這番信仰並沒有像他們自己說的給自己帶來什麽好的東西,相反舊的生命依然讓他們不時生活在痛苦之中,我是真正見不得他們這樣。老實說,您給我的上封信中提到的“若有神的呼召引領,如当年阿伯拉罕蒙召上征途,結果成就了神的心意,藉他賜福萬族萬民。妳今天成為阿伯拉罕的屬靈後裔,豈不可能神借妳重來布市念書,給你有更大的托付麼!?”讓我感到莫大的壓力,雖說之前我就感到這份事情的責任重大,但我從來都認為那是出自于自己的想法,而不敢去想那是神給我的託付;我自認不是個逃避責任的人,但當面對這樣一份顯然無法逃避的、又是極其重大的責任時,就發現了自己膽子竟然如此之小,或莫不如說我的信心如此之小,頭一次聽說時我或許可以說我沒有想到所以沒有做好,可是如果次回再面對還是如此態度,那不是我的能力使我做的不好,是我選擇做的不好。

而最近的經歷也讓我稍受挫折【哈哈】,在等待開會的空餘我曾去附近的學校傳福音,被人當做不法組織的成員一般用怪異的眼神掃遍全身連聲說我不要聽你別跟我講然後緊張離開,剩我一人在原地呆住。我以前倒不是沒有遇到拒絕我的人,只是如此特殊的還是頭一遭哈哈。我一向認為我或許有些許憐憫的恩賜,但從來都認為自己實在沒有傳福音的恩賜,甚至在帶羊的上面都更比傳福音勝出一籌。

這或許可被稱作悲慘的經歷?我想不盡然,我對自己如此的軟弱可以做出諸多解釋,但我無法否認我至今愛著這個世界的宴樂冷暖,我孤獨的性靈依舊被這世間毫不留情的刺痛,我留戀這個世界帶給我的短暫的溫暖和安慰,憑藉人的隻言片語左右我的一言一行,我知道這世界本是愛我不深,總有一天我會被自己深愛的世界所割棄,我數次想要表示先於世界之前先對這世界絕望,上行之詩中很明確的說出我現在的處境“我住在一群野人和流氓中間,這世界非我家,我要離家出走”。

我在努力厭棄這個世界,這個世界正在使出渾身解數留住我。我承認關於更大的託付的話給了我壓力,但無疑更給了我鼓勵。我喜歡壓力,嗯....好吧只是某些時候。我去布市讀書的心意已定【要說定下這個心意找到你們也是我的理由之一】。是否是明年我尚不確定,這要看我的父親,但我希望一切順利,並且可以儘快離開我現在所呆得地方去布市讀書。當然除了我的父親,雅思成績也是一個重要因素,這個自不需要我多說。但我確實希望儘快儘早離家。

我通過翻牆看到了你發表的兩地書,很榮幸我為神做了這樣美好的見證,讓更多的人看到我這個卑微的器皿也可以被天父大大地使用,來榮耀他的名。

十五號的時候我將在西安呆兩周的時間,不過如果您回信,我會通過手機看到的。再次抱歉我回覆的過晚。

PS:我跟現在的牧師有過簡短之極的談話,我不得不說結果讓我有些心寒,我甚至懷疑他是否愛這一班弟兄姊妹。

主內彌則平安,

謝謝妳親切的慰問,正如妳英文所寫言道:今生的死亡對信徒而言只是暫別,主再來時便都被提與主及主內親友相聚天庭。要緊的是未信主的家人好友,都要一個不可少地因信得救稱義。妳的父、母應已信主了吧?因妳掛慮的是他們的靈命成長而已﹔好像僅外公外婆還未信。妳帶佛教味道的名字「覺梵」和「彌則」都是他們給妳起的嗎?爺爺奶奶的信仰狀況又如何啦?無論如何? 一家都得救是神的應許:「當信主耶穌,你和你一家都必得救」(徒16:31)

抱歉我所講的托付,把妳嚇了一跳,也平添壓力。但這並非單給妳一人的,所謂「信徒皆祭司」(彼前二:5),每一個信主的人,都是阿伯拉罕的屬靈後裔,都有領人歸主的職份,但這非可克意而為的,乃憑聖靈的感動和帶領,生活化的在妳的生活圈子裏自然進行。事實上,沒有一個人可憑自已的口才、關係、把另外一個人說服信主,只有聖靈的感動,才可叫硬心的人軟化歸信,但我們作為中介者這角色是不可少的。沒有傳的,那可有信的?(羅十 17) 我們只管傳了,責任也便完了'把後果都完全交托給神,不必自己去負這個重擔。「凡勞苦擔重擔的人,可以到我這裡來,我就使你們得安息。』(太十一28。)這段經文一般人都誤解為個人生活上的難處,但耶穌是在說傳福音的難處;在前面太十一20耶穌在諸城行了許多異能,那些城的人終不悔改,耶穌乃以此事去教化門徒,講出太十一28這番話。

所以彌則小妹啊!不要因自己向人傳福音被白眼拒絕而氣餒,耶穌也有妳和我的經歷呢!傳10個甚至100個只有一個信,都已足夠高興歡喜好一陣子了。想當年妳在主家堂聽聞了福音,但沒有馬上信,但神的恩典夠妳和我用,今天妳不但得救信主了,還可和我在兩地書裏暢快分享信仰內心經歷呢!神給我妳這樣的一隻渴慕上進追求的小羊,我已如此喜樂,再多幾隻,我便要樂死了。所以不要擔心神會給妳甚麼托付,總之都是妳可承擔,又能給妳帶來造就和祝福的。

還有一個觀念:「這世界非我家,我要離家出走」這想法是沒有錯,但需要一點澄清和詮釋,這其實是基督徒的「入世而出世」的理念。「入世」指我們身處的這世代社群,包括大部份未信的人,和一些從未聽聞福音的族群,信徒的托付就是要入世作鹽作光,發揮信徒生命見証的能力;「出世」就是「出淤泥而不染」,信徒縱入世,卻不受這世代敗壞的風俗和物質主義的價值觀所影響;又如「標竿40天」Rick Warren華力克的比喻,海產魚的肉一點鹽份也沒有,基督徒就像海水魚活在海中,卻對海中的鹽絕緣。所以「這世界的屬世屬物質的價值觀已非我所認同,離家出走非要脫離現狀,只是不受敗壞的現狀束縛,做一個在真理裏自由釋放的得勝的門徒,這是不分信主日子長短的信徒的共同挑戰,願與彌則小妹共勉!

還有未盡的話,妳和妳現在的牧師在教會人事關係處理上出現了不同的意見,這並非不尋常的事。人都會有軟弱,我和其他牧者也不能豁免,情緒靈性都會有波動高低的時候,這就是我上面講出世而不受今生血氣情欲左右的挑戰,因為稍不儆醒「離了主便不能作甚麼」(約15:5)。在這時刻,主給妳的托付便是透過禱告為妳的牧者守望,妳把該說的話都說過了,他縱不馬上有正面的回應,一定要不離不棄的繼續接納他,尊重他仍是神呼召揀選來牧養妳們的牧者,給他也給神時間去塑造他作為你們牧者的角色。他年青便捨棄世界的榮華,萬水千山、專心一意、不計代價地住在妳們中間,這若沒有神的呼召和托付,是不可能發生的。有朝一日,神給妳的呼召和托付漸次顯明之後,妳便會理解他個人的感受和掙托了。

哈!哈!不要再被我「呼召和托付」的話嚇壞,我們一起在主裏安靜等候便是了。「你們要休息,以知道我是神」。(詩篇46:10)在西安正好是安靜休息之所,不忙給我回信,先專心禱告吧!

收到回信!我很开心!我现在人在西安,再有一周就会回去,到时我会详细回信给你。ps:我非常开心,在西安待的这几天我天天去住处周围的大学传福音,收获颇丰,这三四天下来我和另一位和我一组的姊妹已经差不多同三十个左右的学生分享福音,而差不多有十五位详细听我讲完了福音桥,甚至有几位很热情的给我打电话告诉我想参加我们的周日礼拜或者很开心的拥抱并告诉我谢谢我让他了解福音,我真的很受鼓舞,我这次来西安真的是受到魔鬼的很多攻击,但也因着神这一切的祝福而得胜,真的很感谢主!对我们有这样的祝福,虽然这几天过的非常劳累,经常是随便坐在一个平的地方我就能睡着,但因着圣灵对我们这样的带领而能够让神的大能和祝福降临到这些学校的学生身上我就感到这一切都非常值得!接下来的一周我还会继续传福音的工作,希望你可以为我以及我的团队祷告,让我们靠着神的力量更加的刚强壮胆去宣扬神的国和义。谢谢!

大丰收!都是神的時間、神的恩典,衪讓妳先有挫敗和失望,那妳現在的得人如魚的收獲,便更覺寶貴和喜出望外了。神就是要妳在傳福音上不給自己加壓力,卸下個人的重擔期望,神就叫妳得安息,只管去傳,不計較得失,神就把得救的人數大大加給妳了。努力加油啦,返家才再覆信給我好了!

未圓湖一匝顧今憶昔(下)

沿「哲徑」走到「拱橋」及其旁之「養德池」,未圓湖(Lake Ad Excellentiam)之旅便合宜就此完結,再走下去便會跨湖走到嶺南体育館那邊,不單因那邊無風光可賞,也破壞了遊未圓湖的「玄意」,未圓湖還是留一段未走完的路更具詩意。不過,對我而言,湖堤之上的校院風物建築,才是給我更多的昔日思憶情愫的夢魂鄉。

7. 眾志六旬舞飛揚

從湖堤「止於至善」旁的斜岥拾給而上便是眾志堂。由於暑假剛開始,地下飯堂並不十分熱鬧。全都是陌生的面孔散佈在飯堂裏,叫我感到自己果真已是時空相隔37載的歷史人物。在輕鬆閒適的假日氣氛中卻又隱然有一份喜慶的感覺,最初不曉得這感覺的來源,但當我上到二樓學生活動中心遙望舞台時,才驟然察覺兩邊掛了兩幅大紅對聯


众志紅絲舞

六旬神采飛
原來是崇基六十甲子校慶,那便想起個多月前收到崇基校友會的百元廣告捐款賀校慶的呼籲電郵『聯賀母校甲子校慶』 (http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/ccc/alumni/form.pdf),在資料架上,又看到 靳杰強校友(66/物理)設計並以毛筆俊書;配句由盧廣鋒校友(67/史地)撰寫,兼從形、音、義三方面題賞的CC60, 名為崇基六十周年校慶徽號配句, 可經此連結索覽http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/ccc/alumni/sentence.pdf

以前是學生會的行政活動中心,現在多了崇基學生輔導處的辦公室,餘下都是會議室,探頭裏望都是空洞無人。想當年在大學四年級時擔任學生會幹事,在兼顧學業、院校際運動和學生會活動三方面弄得自己最是漫天烽火的一年,經常穿梭牟館、嶺南体育館和眾志堂之間。因為第四年自動有宿位的原故,不知有多少個通宵達旦的晚上,在眾志堂的會議室裏渡過,大學生活的全面參予的体驗也最為深刻。

溜灠兩邊的壁佈板,看到了現今崇基學生的各种社會參予。崇基因有基督信仰的背景,所以看到較高比例的短期宣教及社會關懷的活動,有去印尼、印度、韓國和中國內地,是當年少有的跨文化地域的人生体驗。讀万卷書不如行万里路,這道理在70年代遠程旅遊還未普及的時候,是知易行難的。但我和內子當年在大四春節前後夥同二友好一行四人,突破了中國當時的閉關政策,到過杭州、上海、蘇州、無錫、南京、桂林、南寧作自由行,是最深入民間的自助体驗旅程、也種下了今天國是關注的种苗。

相比今天學生會有組織、含使命的跨文化外展活動、當然是青出于藍而勝于藍,不枉崇基六十年的教化。對聯讚許母校六十歲仍神采飛揚,叫我驀然醒覺一個月不多我便也步入六十花甲之年。期許自己在神所賜的壽歲裏,「日子如何,力量也如何。」(申命记33:25)

8. 華連後苑夢魂消

離開眾志堂,心裏便急不及待的拾級而上於後面山岥上的華連堂。我當年是住男女生宿舍的明華堂與當時是女友的內子住的華連堂比鄰。與內子一年級同讀生物系開始便談戀愛,目的要向反對在學時談戀愛的父母証明,求學時期談戀愛可彼此鼓勵學習。果然,我們喻拍拖於一同溫習,在分別轉往經濟、工管系後,大家三年來的成績都屬優異。

秀慧前此寫了以華連後苑為背景的「共賞曇花今與昔」,正是我當年與內子約會之所,讀秀慧的詩,鉤起不少溫馨旖旎的回憶,也是我一興繞未圓湖一匝之念時,瞬間挑起華連後園舊地重遊的渴想,看看是否『曇花依舊寂寞無人見,陣陣芳芬入簾』。孰料物移星換、華連後苑面目全非,兩面出入口都裝設鋼閘把後苑完全封鎖,正是華連後苑夢魂消,過往美好的回憶,就只好在詩中尋了。

9. 牟館翠綠硫璃影

牟路思怡圖書館是我1970入讀崇基翌年落成的,猶記得當年從音樂系那邊的舊館排人鏈傳遞書本搬到牟館的眾志成城的精神。牟館地庫的溫習室,是我走讀時逗遛時間最長的地方,也是我和內子拍拖溫書的地方。我因為是崇基田徑隊的短跑選手,每週最少三天下午溫書完畢後便獨自到体育館練跑,除此之外,都和內子長時間泡在溫習室裏,好像我倆的愛巢一樣。華蓮後苑既緣慳一面,當然想往牟館故地重遊、舊夢重溫,但又再大失所望,牟館藏書部份在假期尚有限度開放,但溫習室卻已重門深鎖,另一舊夢又未能圓,可真應驗未圓湖的「玄意」。往牟館正門,入口安裝了電腦卡電閘,只想稍事觀光也不得其門而入;相比昆士蘭大學的眾多圖書館,都可讓學生或公眾人士自由進出,牟館的學生教師專用的措施,大概是因假日遊人如鯽,干擾太大之故。這倒提醒我當年在星期天在溫習室溫書時,也不時遭遊人以看熊貓的眼光在窗外窺探,我們也練就了不動禪心經,視若無睹,繼續溫書,我行我素。

牟館雖不得其門而入,門外卻別有風光,觸目所見,又是另一賀60週年的對聯:


六十虛懷若谷

春風得意如圓
『六十而“春風得意”。圖案有圓之韻律,“得意”有趣。 “60”中空而橢圓,故云“虛懷” ,既若谷。又如圓;若“馬料水之谷”,如“未圓湖之圓”。廣而後能容,虛而後能得;“懷”抱能“虛”,自然“意”有所“得”,而所得如“圓”之滿。春風,喻師之教化(“師”諧音“C”,故亦借指“CC”為春風教化)得意如圓,崇基教化得“至善”之意,如美滿之圓。至善義同圓滿。』

當把正門及對聯拍照當兒,又有新的發現。牟館入口的玻璃門具弧度,反映未圓湖的景色,顯示3D立体視覺效果。在門中央前一米地方,形成一立体翠綠硫璃影的虛擬像(virtual image),我相信這是設計所呈現的果效,有弧度的玻璃門像徵虛懷若谷,但能春風化雨,美滿得意。

10. 士大夫教堂對應

士大夫俱樂部是Staff Club的中譯,意即教職員飯堂,是眾志堂吃膩了的另一吃飯選擇。我尚記得學生不能進入,但可在樓下廚房後門口買外賣,因為都是熱炒,鑊氣香溢,干炒牛河是熱賣,價錢比眾志堂稍貴,但物有所值,輪候的人也不少。後來曾放寬可讓學生入內光顧,但最終還是要有教職員帶領才可進入同膳。現今因校慶之故,門口也掛了兩幅對聯:


相思紅豆色

六秩絢霞明
『“雙C”諧音“相思”。相思子,色紅,一名“紅豆”,俗名相思豆。“雙C”之紅,即“崇基紅”,非一般的紅色,乃是相思豆的紅色。王維詩:“紅豆生南國,春來發幾枝?願君多採擷,此物最相思。” “相思”,兼指兩種思念(崇基人思念崇基、崇基人互相思念)。十年為一秩。絢,音勸,有文采也。』餐館何來文釆呢!?那大概是指教師們士大夫俱樂部裏,吟詩作對,或作學術討論交流的樂事。另一詮釋,就是與崇基禮堂互為表裏對應,在教堂地下也張掛了另一對聯:


六十靈光生異彩

未圓紅舞出相思
『“靈光”,雙兼宗哲意味。聯想校歌:“靈光照寰宇”。異彩,奇麗之彩,非一般的彩。“相思”諧音“雙C”,舞出雙C。』也就是把崇基的基督教信仰的至善博愛精神從教學相長的聖俗不分的生活中活現出來。聖:也就是教堂週會崇拜信仰活動;俗:便是士大夫俱樂部吃飯宴樂之所,隱然把基督徒入世而不屬世的玄機滲透。回想當年我縱有基督教小學聖經教育的薰陶,崇基週會的宗教信息的浸淫,還未足夠把我從世俗塵寰裏被分別為聖蒙揀選得救恩。有幸人到中年因崇基的福音种苗終得萌芽,在英國信主。際此母校六旬喜慶,也是我人生步入六秩之年,生命終能靈光生異彩,紅舞出相思,站在聖俗兩對聯之間,見証主恩情。

更感恩的事,就是神一家得救的應許(徒16:31) 。自己的妻兒,父母及庶祖母都先後經歷奇異恩典得蒙救贖,受洗成永生之家的一員。父親及庶祖母十四年前先一步返天家,媽媽十四年前彌患大動脈剝離症,命懸一線;但神不但給她肉体的醫治,憑信她精彩的多活了十四年豐盛人生,最後一刻亦是含笑而別。

站在禮堂和飯堂間的崇基路,彷似站在人生的分水嶺。前半生在世俗人海裏浮沉,在象徵世界的飯堂裏鑽營,為的是滿足今生口腹的需要。1990蒙恩得救,意義上就被揀選從世俗中分別為聖,往靈光境界教堂靠攏,身份已不屬世,但人卻仍要入世,在俗世中被神使用作見証。在澳洲開荒教會十四年,傾向有完全出世與社會脫節的危機。但自從2008年四川地震後,神重開中國事工之路,38年前神州之旅留下的中國夢今得重圓;

三載的中國服侍,從四川轉戰湖南,也從教會走入社區,參予國際關心中國慈惠協會照顧殘障孤兒的工作。順服神入世而不屬世的指引,三年的國是關懷,也被神促成了今年三月開始的文字事工,在逍遙博上既可議論時政,又可分享靈裏亮光,美妙的貫徹了能入世而又出世的托付。念及於此,心神盡得舒張,乃收拾心情,重新上路、續完那未圓一匝的思憶路!

11. 嶺南館豪情不再

就如前述,我的大學德智体群四育中後二者,有相當時間都在嶺南体育館得造就。我的体育短跑天份,是遲至中六才被發掘出來的,是在踢足球跌甩毛跤養傷期間,手吊著繃帶跑步仍勝對手的偶發機遇下發現的。甫進大學便被李小洛和Miss韓釘哨,崇基代表生涯便四載無斷,代價就是放下踢足球之至愛,風雨無間地一週三次練跑。其實我的水平非十分優秀,中途半路加速還可以,弱點是起步反應不夠快,技術不夠全面,前段加速欠佳,因此之故,唯有將勤補拙,在蜀中無大將之情況下,四年都代表崇基轉戰港九學界運動會,造成我在其他領域,不管學業、日後的事業和人生下半場的侍奉,都具爭競之心。

今日拾級而下重臨嶺南舊日用武之地,已人面景物全非,舊日故人皆憔悴,踏足昔日征戰「沙場」(當時未有泰坦式跑道,只是泥沙地) ,驚覺六線跑道,變成了兩線的緩跑徑,嶺南館已不再用作任何競賽,只作院友球類活動遣興之地。不禁握腕輕嘆舊日豪情不再,當打的仗好像都打過了,當跑的路己跑盡了嗎?!

12. 馬料水千秋功業


信步越過草地和緩跑徑,踏出離開嶺南体育館,復臨馬料水大學站前,來到民主自由女神像腳下,便完成了未圓湖一匝之旅。人生六十為一甲子循環,忽頓悟少壯人生在崇基得教化為起點,60年一覺揚州夢,現今故地重臨,又彷似終點在望。其實起點、終點何在不重要,路上好風光才不枉此生;更重要的是生命因衪傳奇,前半生單靠己力便勞苦重擔愁煩難當,物質豐富但心靈有空洞永不飽足;後半生有主同行,天色雖非常藍,但難關難過天天過,主恩夠用生命輕省多。崇基在馬料水六十載春風化雨,從僅有校園的小鎮,發展成一工業科技城,學生一批又一批被輸送到社會各色崗位,在各行各業中延續崇基無間東西、精益求精、止於至善的精神。崇基在馬料水千秋功業、便得在門內、門外,以至海外同得傳承顯揚。

我昨天晚上凌晨兩點才回到家,我剛從北京回來,算是做了一次短期的旅行。我沒有將電腦帶在身邊,所以未能及時回信,所以這次又是很晚才回信給你,真是抱歉。

很感謝你對我的問題提出那么多寶貴的意見,也包括你對我行為想法的一些鼓勵,這讓我可以更清醒的看這個問題,又或者說更現實。這次去北京我也找到導航會在北京的教會,跟我的另一位女性牧師談論了我關於女性權益的想法,她同樣表露出一些贊同的態度,也詳細的問了一些問題例如我何時有這樣的想法,究竟是在怎樣的一種情況下被感動而這樣決定。她倒沒有說我有這樣的想法是否是神想我這樣做,我也跟她講了一個關於我從前是如何三分鐘熱度,從來無法堅持一個想法很久,或者喜愛一件事情很久的人。不過我確信這想法首先的確不是別人強加給我的,或者是被別人影響而產生的。這也許是我對此事有些許信心的部分理由之一。

現在的我尚不敢說我能否繼續堅守多久,這是一份尚未開始的事業,我現在就說前途未卜或許顯得對神過於沒有信心,然而這是我真實的擔心,我想對於神我沒有什麽好隱瞞,我承認我在他面前的軟弱和無力,并看到他豐富的大能時,就很容易觸摸到他的旨意從而得到他給我的幫助。

謝謝你給我的那些資料,也感謝那些資料帶給我更多的思考和認知。我很高興我現在對於這份理想進入了一個更好的狀態,最初的我是充滿激情的,曾對此飽含熱情,就是因為熱情的過分高漲使得我頻繁懷疑此事的持久性。不過感謝神,現在的我進入了一個更穩定的時期,這并不是說我的熱情減少,而是我對此的感情進入了一個更成熟,更具有操作性的過程,就好似你真正開始做一件你認為很重要的事情,你往往會變得一本正經並且不茍言笑,不再高談闊論而開始低頭做事了,這正是停止空談,開始行動的時候。

老實說我對現在的教會和牧師都很滿意,尤其是我的牧師,他對我來說就像親人一樣,當然有時偶我們會吵架,會有爭執,也會有管教和訓斥,就像一個母親對孩子那樣【當然,他是男生哈哈】。然而不久之前上帝讓我看到一些問題,因為我對我牧師的過分偏袒而從未發現的一些問題,一些出自于人的問題。你知道,我的牧師很年輕很優秀,而我們教會里的弟兄姊妹的平均年齡就在24歲左右,並且姊妹居多,這不可避免的就會有姊妹的愛慕出現;

這是問題一:面對情欲問題的年輕弟兄姊妹該怎么辦?我前面說過,我和我的牧師經常會吵架,基本上都是因為意見不合或者他覺得我不聽他的話,他會很生氣並且從不對我讓步,他是個固執并有優越感的人,所以有時候會私下說一些論斷別人的話給我,我說我不喜歡你這樣說別人,他又告訴我他這是爲了幫助別人,大概是因為和他關係親近的緣故,當別的弟兄姊妹告訴我他們對他的意見時,我從來視而不見並且告訴他們錯在你們,我袒護他幾乎成了一種習慣,我知道我會這樣只是因為他是我第一個很親近的牧者,但我依然為他和我這樣的行為擔心,因為我對他的袒護和他的獨斷已經切實影響到了教會里的弟兄姊妹的成長。直到一位姊妹因為他這樣的行為傷心到要離開教會時我才驚醒。

這就是問題二:他該怎么做?我又該怎么辦?當一個問題擴展到整個群體的時候,譬如整個教會下意識的集體的做一件不符合聖經的事,就不能簡單稱之為一個問題,而是一個炸彈了。

這就是問題三:當一個問題擴展到整個教會時,發現這個問題的人能做什麽呢?我看到的問題不止這些,還有許多小細節無法訴說,也生怕關牧師你會覺得我好煩為何有這么多事...哈,所以現在是最後一個問題:我知道上帝讓我看到這些問題一定有他的意思,但是,他的目的又是什麽呢?我昨天想的時候想到頗為有趣的答案,也許上帝現在就開始要我學習當一個團契出現各種問題時該如何處理以便我將來有經驗?哈哈,這倒真是個很理想的回答。

我一點也不介意你分享我們的郵件!我很開心可以作為神的美好的見證來給大家更多的鼓勵!能為神做這樣的工是我的榮幸,我也有和這邊教會的弟兄姊妹分享我們的郵件,不過不是所有人,因為他們有人看不太懂英文哈哈。

我听到香烟燃烧的声音

因母親在端午節6/6息勞歸主了,一直忙著與香港和加拿大的兄弟妹聯繫安排喪禮安息礼拜,又撰寫悼念母親的紀念册,並明天23/6回港參加26/6之喪禮,故延至出發前夕才回信給妳。

母親14年前在先父過身後不及一月,亦是開荒教會主家堂1997年成立僅两週,原意來到澳洲布里斯本這裏讓我和妹妹照顧,免她在香港睹物思人,觸景傷情。豈知她因照顧父親經年,積勞成瘁而不自覺,在花園種花怡情時,隱伏的大動脈剝離症(ascending aortic dissection) 突發。我們當時尚不意識病情嚴峻,命懸一線,只馬上送往附近家庭医生診斷,他一看已知不妙,也不耽延作任何医治,吩咐馬上送往Mater Private 。我當時來布市三年專注念神學,地方環境不熟悉,正在猶疑如何前往医院當兒,母親已不支休克倒地 ,要是我熟路馬上駕車自往医院,媽媽肯定便在中途無急救下即時死亡。診所医生急忙注射凝血救命針,並召救傷車送往Mater Private, 再由医生護送至心肺專科医院 Prince Charles. 進行六小時之搶救手術,乃得奇蹟性存活,後來康復返港,再動第二次手術補救整條脹薄了的大动脈。但血管的脹大日趨单薄之勢不可歇,兩年半前本應要做一修補手術,但成功机會不大,且有高度併發危險,經過與兄弟妹商討後,媽當時還是决定保持現狀。她自問在世的責任已完結,現在有的日子都是賺回來的,再沒有牽掛。更重要的是她晚年65歲信主,與父親,庶祖母一同於1995年受洗歸入基督之家。所以平日閒談也從不忌諱談論生死。她比喻人生如一次旅程,有上車就有下車。死亡只是暫別,先我們一步踏上那永生之路與主耶穌及主内親人重聚天庭,她因著信對生死如此豁達,令我們感到萬分安慰!她如今雖逝去如斯,但每想到神厚賜她這14年在世的日子充滿恩典,就滿懷感恩!所以彌則一家人都信主是萬分重要,妳的家人信仰情況如何,當抓緊主的應許(徒16:31),合家蒙恩。

妳準備重來布里斯本念大學的心意是否已大定,會是明年嗎?若然,便應該是時候開始申請的了。我明白妳對教會主內家人難捨難離之情,但人生聚散離合本是常態,所謂變幻原是永恆,我們有天國觀的信徒,生死都看透了,更何況是暫別,若有神的呼召引領,如当年阿伯拉罕蒙召上征途,結果成就了神的心意,藉他賜福萬族萬民。妳今天成為阿伯拉罕的屬靈後裔,豈不可能神借妳重來布市念書,給你有更大的托付麼!?

與教會屬靈家人暫別的滋味,我1994年赴笈來澳洲念神學時已嘗過了,不知後會是否有期?聖經預言基督再來前有信徒被提與主相會於天,到時人馬雜集,恐難與暫別之主內親友相會重聚,我來澳前一團契之弟兄半認真、半開玩笑地相約,在被提後在便雅憫門左邊碰頭吧,妳大概可借此將來與教會家人泣別。

至於妳對青年牧師的規勸,是合宜的,只要是愛心說實話,以不傷牧者自尊心的前題下,私下给牧者一點意見和提醒,是牧者最大的祝福;一般教會的牧者,都很難直接聽到会友的意見;更多是轉接傳話,失真又失時間性。所以妳便要禱告求聖靈给妳進言的時機和話語。

As an Australian or just a people of P.R. status, we need to learn about this long talked but least understood real life issue to Australia and even the world.

After a long while in the lower hand, ALP eventually has crafted out a generally applauded policy on climate change for the future generations. It was announced just this afternoon by PM Julia Gillard. I hope you can spend some time to read the attached article to get yourself into this issue with some basic ideas why and how the Carbon Tax is needed as a transition to a future emission trading scheme which is deemed as the most effective way to tackle reduction of emission on a global basis.

Gillard reveals carbon price scheme

Big day: Prime Minister Julia Gillard in Canberra today (AAP: Andrew Meare)Australian households will be handed more than $15 billion in compensation to help offset the impact of the Government's new carbon tax, Prime Minister Julia Gillard has confirmed.Some 90 per cent of households will get tax cuts and/or extra payments when the $23 per tonne price kicks in on July 1 next year.

The Government says the package's tax reforms and other compensation measures mean the average household will be 20 cents a week better off.However households can expect to see consumer prices rise by an average of 0.7 per cent due to the effect of the carbon price on large emitters. (The then projected rise of consmer price when GST was introduced was 2.5 per cent.)

There will be extra payments for pensioners and families with children, while the tax reforms come with a guarantee that no-one will pay more income tax.

The Government says
1) 4 million households will be better off after compensation,
2) 6 million will be no worse off, and
3) 8 million will receive partial compensation for the price rises.

The Benefits

The scheme also includes $9.2 billion over three years for trade-exposed industry, with emissions-intensive industries such as aluminium, zinc and steel manufacturing getting more than 94 percent of their carbon permits for free.

The scheme is projected to cut 159 million tonnes of carbon pollution from the atmosphere by 2020 - the equivalent of taking 45 million cars off the road.

The help of Tax Cut for common households

The assistance measures to households include a rise in the tax-free threshold from $6,000 to $18,000, and up to $338 per year extra for single pensioners.

All taxpayers with incomes below $80,000 will get tax cuts - most about $300 a year.

The Overall Impact

Treasurer Wayne Swan says average households will pay an extra $9.90 per week while average assistance will be $10.10 per week.

What it means for you:

Up to $338 extra per year for single pensioners and self-funded retirees, and
up to $510 per year for pensioner couples combined.
Up to $110 per child for a family that receives Family Tax Benefit Part A.
Up to $69 extra for families that receive Family Tax Benefit Part B.
Up to $218 extra per year for single income support recipients and $390 per year for couples combined for people on allowances.
Up to $234 per year for single parents in addition to the increased family payments they receive.

As expected, around 500 highest polluting businessses will pay the carbon price - which will increase by 2.5 per cent above inflation until July 1 2015 when a market-based emissions trading scheme will kick in.

While fuel is exempt for individual motorists and small business, diesel for heavy vehicles like semi-trailers will be paying the carbon price from 2014, after a two-year moratorium.The scheme will be administered by a new Climate Change Authority (CCA) to be headed up by former Reserve Bank governor and Treasury Secretary, Bernie Fraser.The CCA will recommend future pollution caps but the final decision will rest with the Government.

The main features of the plan are:

Initial carbon price of $23 per tonne of carbon pollution to be paid by the 500 heaviest emitters and increasing by 2.5 per cent in real terms.
A transition to a market-based emissions trading scheme in 2015.$9.2 billion from the revenue stream to help businesses and workers impacted by the plan.
Tax cuts and pension increases to protect people from higher prices.
A $1.2 billion Clean Technology Program to improve energy efficiency in manufacturing and to support research and development.Australia's most polluting electricity generators will be closed and replaced with gas-fired units by 2020.
A $10 billion Clean Energy Finance Corporation to fund new clean energy technology.An Australian Renewable Energy Agency to manage a $10 billion Clean Energy Finance Corporation to fund new clean energy technology.
An Australian Renewable Energy Agency to manage a $3.2 billion clean energy budget.A target of 20 per cent renewable energy by 2020.
Agriculture excluded from paying the carbon price.'

National transition

'"The science is in, we know that our climate is changing," Ms Gillard said as she unveiled the plans today."This has been a difficult debate that has brought us to this moment, but we are here now and now is the chance to get this done."Ms Gillard says nine out of 10 households will receive compensation under the plan, either through tax cuts or extra payments."Carbon pricing is the foundation stone for this package... it's got a focus on energy efficiency, it's got a focus on renewable energy, it's got a focus on the land sector," she said."This is a big day in Canberra ... as we transition our nation to a clean energy future."I want Australian families to understand what it will mean to them. I want them to understand we are seizing a clean energy future."Standing here as PM I understand that this has been a long, complicated and at some times very difficult debate for Australians to follow."We are now moving from the days of words to deeds.. we are going to get this done. We are going to create a clean energy future.Mr Swan described the plan as a "fundamental economic reform", saying Australia can't allow itself to become a "technological backwater"."We've got to price carbon pollution to drive the investment in innovation and to provide the incentive for energy efficiency and to develop renewable energy," he said. "Failing to do so means that we would be passing on lower living standards to our children and to our grandchildren."

Permits for industry

The assistance for high-polluting industries which rely on exporting their products will be through free permits, and will apply to aluminium smelting, steel manufacturing, flat glass making, zinc smelting and pulp and paper making.There is a $300 million package to support jobs in steel manufacturing by encouraging innovation and another $1.3 billion towards rewarding coal mines that reduce their emissions.The Government says the $23 carbon price will add about $1.80 per tonne of coal produced - but "gassy" mines will face "significant" cost pressures.The companies that do not meet "emissions intensive, trade exposed" criteria will receive $1.2 billion in grants to start investing in low-pollution capital equipment.Small business - while not considered polluting - will benefit from an extended instant asset write-off threshold to $6,500.

An Energy Security Fund will be established to pay for the closure of Australia's most polluting electricity generators - believed to be Victoria's brown coal generators.The Government wants to remove 2,000 megawatts of capacity from these generators before 2020 and replace them with cleaner electricity generators - preferably gas.The Greens were able to negotiate significant support for renewable energy programs including a $10 billion Clean Energy Finance Corporation which will provide loans for innovation when commercial banks are unwilling to fund projects.

Another $3.2 billion in existing funding will be brought under one agency to support new technologies from the research and development to market stages.There is also a $40 million program for remote Indigenous communities for clean power supplies - like solar panels and wind turbines - so existing diesel generating plants can be replaced.Nearly $1 billion will go towards a biodiversity fund to help farmers and community groups look after the ecosystem and get rid of invasive species.The Government says 4 million Australian households will actually be better off, 6 million will get assistance that covers the entire price impact, and 8 million will get some assistance.Known as the Clean Energy Supplement, the Government says compensation will be equal to a 1.7 per cent increase in pensions, allowances and family payments.

Not sure if you have followed and understood the debate on measures to contain the destructive effect of climate change. Since the ALP Government has just announced the scheme of impose carbon tax effective 1st July 2012 this afternoon. It is time that you must learn the basic about all these issues, by reading the quoted article as follows.

What's the difference between a carbon tax, an emissions trading scheme anddirect action?There are three key approaches governments around the worldare taking in a bid to lower carbon emissions: carbon taxes; emissions-tradingschemes (ETS); and direct action.The Federal Government's plan, thoughwidely referred to as a carbon tax, actually involves implementing a fixed-priceETS from July 2012 and then shifting to a standard ETS within three to fiveyears.The Federal Opposition favours a direct action approach.Here are the key details about each concept.

Carbon tax

a) the government sets the price of carbon
b) the resulting market forces determine how much the quantity of emissions is reduced
c) businesses have certainty about the price of carbon emissions
d) the resulting level of emissions would vary
e) increases government revenue, which can be used for compensation, to encourage productivity or to promote low-emissions technology
f) can have negative effects on productivity growth and incomes

Standard ETS

a) the government caps total emissions and issues permits to emit up to that amountbusinesses can trade the permits, so the market determines the price of carbon

f) the Federal Government proposes to move to a standard ETS after three to five years of a fixed-price ETS.

Fixed-price ETS

a) the government caps total emissions and issues permits to emit up to that amount
b) businesses can trade the permits, but the government also fixes the price of the permits
c) the price of emissions is pre-determined
d) there is also a set limit on the final level of emissions
f) increases government revenue, which can be used for compensation, to encourage productivity or to promote low-emissions technology
g) can have negative effects on productivity growth and incomesh) the Federal Government plans to introduce a fixed-price ETS from July 2012

Direct action

a) the government intervenes to direct businesses and households to lower emissions
b) examples include closing high-emissions factories or power plants, subsidies for low-emissions products and restricting new investment in high-emissions sectors
c) no increase to government revenue
d) can have negative effects on productivity growth and incomese) direct action is the approach favoured by the Federal Opposition

Still confused?

The differences between a fixed-price ETS and a carbon tax are complicated but here is how David Pannell, the director of environmental economics and policy at the University of Western Australia, outlines them in an article at The Conversation:"The [Government's] proposal is to fix the price of permits for the first few years, presumably to reduce uncertainty during the transition period after the scheme commences," he writes."It would still be an ETS, with a cap on emissions and permits that can be traded, but the price of permits would be fixed by the government."There is a similarity between the fixed-price ETS approach and a carbon tax. If the fixed price is set at a high enough level, then it would be that price, rather than the cap, that determines the level of emissions."At that high carbon price, people would actually emit less than the maximum level set by the cap. In that case, the ETS would be behaving somewhat like a tax."But there are still important differences."In the government's proposed scheme, permits could still be traded among emitters and potential emitters, even in the period when there is a fixed price. That does not occur under a carbon-tax regime."

很驚訝這么快就收到你的回信!我早上眼睛一睜開就看到你的回信,一下子就從床上坐了起來,心情瞬間變的好好啊~LOL~看到你說擔心我沒有回信是不是因為要翻墻才能對外通信,哈哈看來中國對網絡的管理嚴格已經出名到澳洲了,的確,很多的網站在中國是不能登陸和訪問的,包括像FACEBOOK,MYAPEAC,YOUTUBE這樣的網站,有時候就連GOOGLE也不能正常登陸,現在還好,E-MAIL還可以正常使用,不過我聽說最近似乎又有新政策,會對更多的外國網站進行封鎖。

我現在住在中國蘭州,我猜你大概都沒有聽說過這地方,這個城市在中國的內陸,海拔1520米,因為是高原SO很多人來這裡會有高原反應。現在蘭州尚且不算熱,不過上海的33℃相比蘭州絕對不算酷暑,去年的時候蘭州達到了42℃,簡直出不得門,相形之下布里斯班簡直是天堂了。

我以前的家在Runcorn,有時又偶爾會去Toowong住,從Runcorn到教會我記得好像是坐44路公交,但似乎還需要倒車,後來我們在Garden city上課的時候坐車就方便很多了。我的駕照應該不能在澳洲用,怕是要重考。

主家堂的變化也不少呢,我看到網站上是有說多語言的講道,像粵語。不過還是和我印象里的很接近呢,也許是我太貪玩,我印象最深刻的是活動室和電影放映室

~跨文化的婚姻是我沒有想到的。很高興聽到你說會有一位華語牧師的加入,這想必會吸引更多的人。哈其實你叫我哪個名字都是可以的,無論是覺梵、彌則,MIZE,或者是Mi Sont【Mi Sont就是彌則的英文】,從前我還有個名字是Riddle,但我叫那名字只是因為那是我EXBF的名字,或者你可以稱呼我的小名“別別”,都行,你喜歡哪個,就可以稱呼我哪個。我現在的牧師叫我“別董”OR“別總”哈哈。

學業上我的確有諸多困惑,以前考慮這些的時候只是單純的考慮哪個專業會更適合將來的社會發展或者生活的穩定性之類。但現在因為信仰以及我個人理想的原因,我的想法有了很多轉變,比如我在過去的十幾年里一直認為我是要學考古的,不過去年開始我就徹底抹殺了這個想法,因為我去年才發現自己真正的志向所在:Women's rights,我不喜歡把他翻譯成女權,我更喜歡全稱女性權益。我試圖去了解一些成熟的女權組織或者機構,倒也得到一些不錯的回應,比如美國的FMF,Feminist Majority Foundation,他們有很多的觀點同我相同,但是幾乎所有的女性權益組織都有一個問題,就是他們把男性的價值貶低的一文不值,并把女性單獨架空在一個真空的環境中,而在我的觀點里沒有男性的女性是不完整的,是缺失的,就像一個缺少母性的女人一樣,我的女性權益是建立在聖經的基礎上,這樣就同現有的很多機構在原則問題上背道而馳;而進一步融合進我的信仰時,我是希望我工作的對象接受的能夠是來自基督的女權拯救,我曾經告訴我的姊妹我迫切的想要去一些中東國家例如伊朗,那裡的女權狀況是最讓我感到痛心的。

所以單從理想這方面,我想要選擇一些能夠對將來的女權事業有所用處的專業來學習,又根據自己的條件,我就想到過翻譯或者心理學,我只是暫時想到這兩個,我不知道還有什麽專業可以用在我將來要做的事中。

而若從信仰的角度出發,說實話我希望以後的生活充滿在一個時刻有耶穌的環境中,也就是能夠生活在一個團契中,所以我最理想的狀態是我的丈夫是一位牧師,在團契的服侍中我來幫助他的同時可以側重來做最理想狀態的,出於基督的女性權益幫助,在我們所涉及的範圍之內,比如我們傳福音的對象,或者團契中的姊妹。那么這種情況下我就會希望盡可能的幫助更多的女性,那這個團契就會是一個流動的團契。

可是最重要的一點,我不知道神對我的安排,我力求一些事實的旁證,但似乎都不夠明顯,我明白我現在的想法都停留在非常幼稚和沒有操作性的層面上,所以我四處尋求意見,希望看到方法。當然,以上所有的我對我未來的自我規劃是無法去和我的家人商議的,若教他們知道,他們一定會認為我瘋了,并會用盡一切方法來阻止這一切的實現。

雖然我自持我的父母還算開明,但如果他們知道我不僅僅是要做女權,更要一生與福音相伴,他們多半會失望透頂,然後拉我回到世界中。我的牧師認為我現在就考慮嫁給誰為時過早,他說你才20歲,我也知道我不應該限制神,我也愿意相信他的豐富,但很明顯我為此顧慮重重就是不愿意相信他,所以我最近的感動是“把心交給神,讓他來保管”。

PS:我看到照片上的海報“標桿人生”,我讀過這本書,我現在正在看的是白立德的《來改變這世界》,還有《布道大計》。

PPS:我的牧師倒是不怎么看好我對女性權益的熱情,他對我最大的期望就是生很多孩子

Thank you so much for sharing your inner thought with me. Since there are quite a few issues I need to respond to your last email, so please allow me to reply in English for this time.

我現在住在中國蘭州 :I was once very close to getting to 蘭州. After Sichuan earthquake, God has opened door for me to go to Sichuan for involving in earthquake relief. My focus area is 廣元.And in 2009 I attended a Youth Camp at 巴中. After that camp, teams were sent out on short missionary trip to many places within 四川,廣東 and 甘肅. I wanted to go to甘肅蘭州, but I was eventually assigned to go to廣元 again to take care of a student scholarship project initiated by our church主家堂together with other Brisbane Chinese Churches. So, God must have His timing to prevent me to go too early to have reunion with you until now that really have given us both a big surprise.

So in Brisbane, you have two homes to stay?! If in future you choose to study at UQ, Toowong is a better place to go to Uni. Anyway, you definitely can drive with your Chinese License as long as you remain as a student. You only need to make a certified true copy of the English translation of your Chinese License to apply for a permit to drive in Brisbane. As far as I know, you don’t have to sit for any driving test. But for safety sake, it is recommendable to take enough hours of driving lessons and learn the main difference of traffic rules.

I am surprised by the maturity you have in planning for your future. I believe it is God’s plan to give you the burden to pursuit women’s rights. Jesus is the pioneer in upholding equal rights for women and children as well as many of the outcast groups at His time. You may leave the choice of future profession at a later stage. Just plan for your study on social science with focus on human rights and specialty in women’s rights. Actually, your vague vision of helping out women in the capacity of a Pastor or missionary pastor wife is not a bad idea. By coincident, one of my sheep, a new convert receiving Christ soon after the Sichuan earthquake in 2008 who comes from Sichuan, has lately married to a pastor of the International Church in Beijing. She also has got the vision to be a pastor wife and after two years of prayer, God has answered her prayer.

Coming back to your possible study in Brisbane, I collected some info about UQ which is attached as a word file. I suppose you can have access to UQ directly, but just in case you can’t, I have copied all the basic info for you. One of my English Class students who is from重慶 has found a link to a Women's study center in University of Queensland http://www.emsah.uq.edu.au/awsr/new_site/home.html.Let me know if it is not convenient for yourself to look up the info of the other Universities in Brisbane, i.e. QUT, Griffith and Bond University.

It is also my vision to provide training to Christians from China who may plan to go back after study, so that you may be equipped to provide discipleships and engage in evangelism as God may call you to serve. 標桿人生 is one of them. It is more than a book but a 40 days of purpose program for both evangelistic and discipleship purposes. Others include the Alpha Course, 啓發課程 mainly a 15 lessons course for reaching out to non-believers; the Evangelism Explosion III三元福音倍進佈道法 , a platform of evangelism movement in a church rather than just a method; and the Kairos Course, 把握時機, a mission oriented discipleship course to equip new or old Christians to understand and master the need for all churches to engage in great commission大使命. So, you can be rest assured , your time in Brisbane will be as rich and full as you have at home with your brothers and sisters of the Navigator.

未圓湖一匝顧今憶昔(上)

自去年六四民主女神像中大擺設風波後,每次返港都專程入崇基大學站前憑弔一番,看看有何新發展。今次丁母憂,信仰上雖知她已得真安息,亦會相見在永恆,但心情仍難免有一點感傷,原本只打算入中大如常駐足觀看民主女神像便離去,但忽感時日如流水飛逝,不知何年何月方能崔護重來,乃突興環繞未圓湖遊走一匝之念,稍抒顧今憶昔之情。途次有十二景點舒發情懷,分兩次登貼。

1. 民主女神像話滄桑

彈指間民主女神像已原地屹立超過一年光景,其多舛命途尚未明朗。前劉遵義校長壓根兒抗拒,現沈祖堯校長原則性接納,但以火車站地另有發展用途為理由,勸誘學生會同意將其移置山上學生會中心,圍困於石屎森林中。學生會堅持原地不動,讓經火車訪中大的遊人學梓,都能第一眼看到其存在。我因對沈校長的信任,前此傾向認同校方建議,但經過這一年中共黨中強硬路線者變本加厲、而又頑固地去打壓言論自由的表現,深感民主不是賜予的真理,言論自由橋頭堡之戰,寸土必爭,故在今次三訪民主女神像之當兒,心中默默轉軑,支持學生爭取原地長久展示,以紀念這一場跨世代的民主抗爭。無論如何,若原地立像、我倒建議要修造一尊更大和品質較佳之像,俾能存流萬世!

於民主女神像的位置,是看不到被移置的舊崇基牌坊的對聯楹柱的。它自零三年被重新豎立於崇基嶺南体育管東側、火車站通往未圓湖小徑入口處。今次其實因好奇心驅策,遂移步去尋找,果然發現兩對聯楹柱以九十度對角立於一平台上,分別面向小徑入口及與小徑平行面向,迎著進入未圓湖「哲徑」上的人。雖然已失去了崇基門作為門的價值,今番不呰為導引我走「哲徑」通往「未圓湖」之「入門」。可惜的是,楹柱經過一番翻新後飾上滑油粉磚,與原來簡實蒼樸的風貌大相逕庭。而兩對聯楹柱以九十度角對立的用意,也是摸不著頭腦。再細看立於一九五九年的這對聯﹕「崇高惟博愛本天地立心無間東西溝通學術」
「基礎在育才當海山勝境有懷胞與陶鑄人群」

它教導學生做人處世求學問要跨越文化藩籬,力臻至善。未圓湖的名字與崇基學院的校訓「止於至善」正能互相輝映。顧名思義,未圓湖不是圓形的,形狀不規則而帶若干彎角。「未圓」隱指世事難常圓滿,永遠無法達到盡善盡美的境界。因此大家更應當努力不懈,對完美心嚮往之,力臻至善。從這角度來看,對聯意義依舊但其新位置變為了引往未圓湖之門,似有另一番更貼切的新意。

3. 未圓湖西南角「荷花池」

未圓湖前稱「荷花池」,故當我剛踏步進入未圓湖西南境界內即見荷花依舊,禽鳥棲息,游魚如鯽,往事彷如雲煙再現。但一走上「曲橋」便發覺橋的另一方展現湖面如鏡,了無荷花,又彷似舊事已過,一切都變成新的了;可我這在「曲橋」上的遊子,夾在新舊兩世代的地貌中,忽感人生茫然何所依?舊日熱血青年,活在今日這功利世代中,22年的國殤,千百天安門母親的泣血,都可被22年的興隆國運來有理化,堪叫我大嘆荷花依舊峭東風、人面獸心爭映紅。昔日文儒崇尚的「哲徑」,如今被商賈政軍人員踐踏成致富生財之「捷徑」,能不傷懷乎?

4. 未圓湖堤「哲徑」止於至善

渡盡「曲橋」,便再腳踏實地走在繞湖一匝的湖堤「哲徑」上,依湖堤旁之斜岥上植有四個大字,橫看豎看良久都認不出是甚麼字,日子久了記憶可真變得模糊?這麼熟諗的四個字竟老人癡呆得遺忘了!這又好像不完全是我的錯,用花草砌植的字,日久失欠修剪,變成四片雜草,一直走到拱橋看見其上崇基校徽時,才驚覺那四字原來乃篆書之「止於至善」,是否這崇基人治學做人的校訓已不合時宜,不被重視?以致崇基園丁也懶得去修剪了呢!?

5. 未圓湖心「獅子亭」觀噴泉

未圓湖中心有一個中國傳統八角亭,取名「獅子亭」(全名「九龍中央獅子亭」),以紀念「獅子會」捐獻之德。「獅子亭」對開湖心有一噴泉水柱,大概喻世事多變,翻騰不息,與平靜如鏡的湖面雙輝影,呈現強烈對比。人生又何嘗不然,常常都會在平淡生活中忽起無風之三尺浪。生命若沒永恆觀,會視風波為挫折;若有永生的確據、永恆的盼望,風波都變成了經歷神大恩典的印記。媽媽一生存乎憂患,但晚年信主,早已出死入生,逍遙度過了十四年豐盛人生,在凶險的大動脈剝離症的生命浪濤威脅下,仍能心平氣和,湖平如鏡不興波地,安坐人生湖心亭暢觀泉突浪湧而自得其趣。念及於此,對母親的遽然飄逝乃得釋然。

6. 未圓湖「獅子亭」側「養德池」

未圓湖蘊含「二池二橋一徑」,二池是指「荷花池」及「養德池」,二橋是前面所提及未圓湖東面的「曲橋」及西面的「拱橋」。繞著未圓湖建有一條小徑,名為「哲徑」。「養德池」乃在「獅子亭」側,「拱橋」之後,原本內養有一些鴨子,「德」與英文「duck」同音,同時「養德」又具有培養品德之義,惟後因禽流感便不再養鴨了。環顧世情,養德者日少,為保政治「中立」,力求政治「正確」,躲避(ducking)公義訴求自保的動作至為標準普遍。萬望在崇基六十週年慶典之際,我崇基兒女都堅持作養鴨人家,而非失德偷鴨之徒。

2011年七一遊行雷曼苦主打頭陣,於二時半出發

自89民運參加過大小遊行後,今次因丁母憂返港適逢其會,剛好在返布市前夕,重為馮婦再度上街遊行,行使民主表達訴求。老實說,我參加的動機,主要不是反甚麼,卻是支持溫總6月27日在英國皇家學會的宣言,反貪腐,倡民主,還政於民,容異見,監督政府公正無私的管治。

這次主辦單位為「民陣」,他們要求政府立即撤回遞補機制方案,和推出政策解決基層住屋問題。但其實還有無數社區團体各為其社群之需要而嗆聲。

遊行人士各有不同訴求,有市民一家三口首次參加七一遊行,說政府匆匆提出遞補機制,但無諮詢市民,因此要上街表達不滿。市民表示,今次是自03年後再參與遊行,感到目前的民怨比當年更大,擔心政府提出的遞補機制通過後,23條立法會隨之而來,影響下一代言論自由。

有團體反對在中小學推行國民教育,多名丈夫為港人的內地孕婦,要求政府取消公立醫院的內地孕婦分娩配額制。

一批90後學生在網上號召青少年遊行,約30人出席,反對政府強制推行國民教育。有團體爭取雙普選,教協代表爭取小班教學;外傭團體數十人爭取提高待遇。

遊行人士出動不少具創意的道具,包括「兩頭蛇」、「劏房」、「地產商吸血鬼」及不同的樂器。由於警方早前表示,禁止示威者攜帶樂器遊行,不少示威者為表抗議,帶同不同的樂器遊行,有數十人更打扮成「公安」,一路行一路彈奏樂器。有市民更自製巨型「兩頭蛇」道具,諷刺政府時常決策失誤,變成「兩頭晤到岸」。反對「地產霸權」成為今年遊行的主題之一,有遊行者自製「劏房」及「地產商吸血鬼」遊行,抗議地產暴利。

隊伍在維園出發,坐滿了所有硬地足球場‧民陣估計有近22萬人,是曾蔭權上任以來人數最多的一次;但警方估計只有近六萬人離開維園,這巨大差距的唯一原因是很多中途插隊人士:既有多個團體在銅鑼灣東角道集會,等待遊行隊伍經過時加入大隊,也有普羅大眾個別人士,包括我在內,沿途隨机加入。我因晚間有約,為免被滯留在維園內,只能中途於灣仔加入,在灣仔地鐵站外軒尼斯道上之天橋迎侯。

隊伍三時多出發,約三時四十五分抵灣仔,我居高拍照後便走下到街上插隊,基本上是自由地在大隊之前,扮似是記者在拍照,以下照片是沿途之花絮。

大隊在五時左右便抵終點中區的政府合署,隊尾尚有很多團体還未能離開維園,可見人數果真龐大。由於警方不時截龍,令龍尾要在下午5時20分才可出發,不少遊行人士不滿警方安排,不停高叫「開路」的口號。

我五時離開的時候,已風聞有幾個團体,動員80後, 90後年青人,準備在正式遊行完結後,持續作更激烈之抗爭。晚上約會返家後,果然看到甚火爆的對峙場面,尚幸到午夜警方強行清場時,示威者都採不扺抗態度就捕,完成了這風火雷電戲劇性的一天。

七一遊行事後的統計檢討,除了是創曾特首上任來之新高外,更意外的發現是有百分之31群眾本來已無心過問政治,如今都被曾班子加上警方的「德政」和「奮興措施」,被慫動首次上街。從老嫗到少艾,80後、90後、千禧後一個世代也不少,真是全民皆憤!

舉例說﹕

已屆82歲的廖婆婆。她說,首次決定七一走出來,是「被friend邀請」,「是時候趁仍有體力出來上街,始終別人年年上街幫我們老人爭取福利,我無理由在家坐享其成,自己都不好意思,而且有心不怕遲」。婆婆說主要希望政府增加老人福利,「因為子女掙得少,不想他們供養我負擔太多」。

遊行隊伍中除了稀有的幾個「20後」生力軍,還有數不盡的「90後」,和一眾首次上街的「千禧後」。他們在漫長的遊行路上,散落於不同團體、不同位置,令訴求聲音不絕於耳。甚至有逾百名「90後」戴上面具,以不叫喊口號方式參與遊行。2003年起每年七一也上街的72歲與66歲黃氏伉儷,坦言「從未見過如此多年輕人」。

其中500名「90後」中學生和大專生當中,亦有不少首次上街的生力軍,都是自發的青年團體。16歲的林朗彥,「上街第一次」便發起了反國民教育的「學民思潮」團體,和「反替補青年聯席」。他指七一讓他了解到市民一同追求香港民主化的威力,即使不同團體訴求不一,也可彼此包容。朗彥的團體更與「社工聯會」、「專上學生聯會」等數個青年團體一同留守在最後才出發,他坦言,即使行了3小時仍走不出銅鑼灣也相當值得,「站在龍尾正好寓意年輕人會留守最後,為香港民主接棒」。

另外,7名「90後」高考狀元前日表示會參加七一遊行,志願要讀港大法律系的恒商狀元梁倬睿,昨與家人一同上街。為爭取普選權上街的他,指隨着年紀愈大,愈留意社會時事,惟過去家人因擔心其安全而不鼓勵他參加遊行。梁倬睿指遊行隊伍頗有秩序,日後亦會多上街。

更令人鼓舞便是「千禧後」的出現。首次參與遊行的黃小朋友,今年只有3歲,由爸爸帶同參與遊行,黃父直言,政府在處理遞補制一事盡失民心,故「一家人一條心一起上街」,讓兒子有最好的公民教育,兒子亦乖巧地在擠迫人群中「默默上路」。另一「千禧後」4歲的姚小朋友亦與爸爸一同上街,直言「很好玩,但很熱」。姚父表示,自1989年六四上街後,今次是一生人第一次七一上街,「日後亦希望多帶兒子出來了解社會民生」。

又因警方為討好中港管治者‧畫蛇添足、多此一舉地企圖禁止遊行者用擴音機和演奏樂器,不用說這些媚上卻欺民的無謂舉措,招惹了最大的反彈, 把一眾遁世的藝術家、音樂家都激上街來了。

最少200音樂人上街挑戰,他們昨日穿上「公安」制服,手持各式各樣的樂器及自製的發聲「裝置」,如沙槌和鼓,沿路打着拍子,甚至與不相識的遊行人士即興「jam」歌;鑼鼓聲中夾雜着口號,示威者高呼「街頭有藝術」。藝術公民發言人俞若玫說「街頭奏樂都會被控阻街,我們要爭取在公共空間表演的權利。」他們演奏各種樂器表達訴求,包括色士風、小號、單簧管、澳洲土著吹奏的迪吉里杜管(didgeridoo)、夏威夷小結他(ukulele);市民譚先生雖非音樂人,但認為警方太過分,所以把多個益力多膠樽接連起來,裏面注入氣槍膠彈製成沙槌。

曾在英國街頭表演的陶先生是爵士樂演奏家,對於遊行奏樂可能被檢控感到「條氣唔順」,於是攜帶體積較大的色士風上街,代替以往帶到七一的口琴。「政府連街頭表演都容不下!在外國街頭表演很普遍,鄰近的台灣,只要繳付250元台幣,就可以攞正牌,在街上演奏,台灣亦因此聚集了很多高手!」他應記者要求,示範即興爵士,其間更邀請打鼓的遊行人士「jam歌」,又與其他人交換樂器如單簧管,吹奏一番。他批評,政府高舉文化創意產業,但街頭藝術卻遭打壓,實在貽笑國際。

職業歌手黃耀明昨日亦以個人身分參加遊行,其中原因是對警方一度要求遊行人士不能奏樂感到反感,「遊行竟然不讓人發出聲音?人本身已經是一種樂器,限制不了」。他與友人一行數十人,各自拿着牧童笛、搖鼓、杯蓋等不同「樂器」,沿途不時敲擊及吹響,他表示「樂器」是友人於不同玩具店買來。身上掛着哨子、手上拿着玩具搖鈴的黃耀明說,自1998年至今曾多次參加七一遊行,他認為政府近年愈來愈不聽民意,希望透過參加遊行,用雙腳表達港人「有權走自己的路、有權對這個地方作管治」的信息。

總括而言,不管遊行者五花八門的訴求會否得到馬上回應、例如撤替補方案、或其他要花較多時間來檢討回應的需求,我都覺得今年的七一遊行,超出所想所求的成就了中國民主化的歷史任務。就是讓中央政府對和平的遊行,甚至之後更激烈的示威和靜坐手法上了寶貴的一課。

1) 民意不可侮,民憤不能壓制,只能疏導。
2) 表達異見並非反黨叛國,乃真心愛黨愛國的另類表達。
3) 遊行示威中有衝撞是不免的了,只要警民雙方都有克制,絕對避免使用不必要的暴力,沒有流血或生命的損傷,示威者在達到傳遞異見信息目的後,便和平離去或不抵抗被捕,警方事後無條件省釋,造成雙贏局面。
4) 民主体制中異見的表達、是對政府有益的監督、是全民的權利和責任,非任何團体,任何階層的特權,也不只是某一代人的事,當民主意識能達到跨代傳承的時候、便是國家的大幸。

七一遊行人民聲音清淅,建制派受極大民意壓力,七月四日政府最後不得不妥協押後遞補機制之立法,進行兩個月的正式諮詢,這是繼23條惡法被取消後又一民意的勝仗,中央如何解讀,真乃未知之素。
